Fordclaims 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds, which would leave the Toyota for dead in the real world (0-62 in 7.6 seconds). Plus the ST sounds great. So our Ford should win – but for me, it doesn’t. I

Thanksfor posting on r/MechanicAdvice!This is just a reminder to review the rules. If you are here asking about a second opinion (ie "Is the shop trying to fleece me?"), please read through CJM8515's post on the subject. and remember to please post the year/make/model of the vehicle you are working on. Ifwe factor in: reliability / cost of maintenance and repairs. fuel economy. The Focus ST seems to be priced slightly lower than the GTI in the used car market. I like both cars and am having a hard time deciding between the two. I like the Focus ST because of the Recaro seats and the nice sounding exhaust.
Itis one of the last truly bad cars. Reliability is so-so, but the worst part is the extremely crappy interior. You would do so much better with a 2010+ Corolla or Civic, which are nicer and more reliable. If you don't want repairs get a Toyota. Even the Toyota Yaris is worlds better than the Versa. 2.
2018Ford Focus consumer reviews. $17,950 starting MSRP. 4.6 (202 reviews) 90% of drivers recommend this car. Ihave a Focus ST, my roommate has a GTI manual and one of my close friends has the GTI DSG. The GTI DSG is probably the fastest car in a straight line because the DSG is that good. There's a lot of electrically powered things on that car so it starts to do weird things when the voltage is low.
Id say they're pretty reliable if treated right. I'd compare it to a 528i in terms of reliability, but the SHO is much faster. well-thats-odd. OP • 9 yr. ago. hadn't thought of that - they ARE police cars, and the Taurus intercepters I've seen for sale have 100k miles on them. TheDirtDude117.
